stay with 20" or get 22" wheels Dropped it or Stock Height
suggestions whether to stay with 20" wheels or upgrade 22"
love the 20' being that its easy to find more selections vs 22" that are limited Last edited by FastCarGuy; 11-21-2014 at 07:25 PM.. |

Tires are easier to find yes, but you also run into a slightly more jarring ride with 22 inch wheels due to their thinner sidewall, and more chance for damaging rims on really sharp potholes/edges.
20 is just enough meat to keep things going and looking good. Why not a lowering spring? It would probably look great on 20". |

am Glad and yes...having 20" is very good being that i always have tires for them,I hardly see 21' or 22' being available right away money. I always wanted the ADV wheels with 22" but i think the the thread thickness may damage the 21/22's quicker.
here is the SAV that i play around with.... She turned the big 160k |

I'm running 22's on my X5M with Dinan Suspension and it rides better than the stock run flat 20's. I do have to be more aware of potholes but ride is not an issue at all.

Go with 22, it's a head turner now, makes the car ride not as good but not bad either

I love the set up with 20" wheels + spacers (12mm front and 20mm rear)
and no-drop. *need fender flares if you don't have.

MMMM, love the look of the 22s. A bit more aggressive looking vs the 20s.
Can anyone comment on the ride quality from 20" to 22"?

And for the love of god don't get all seasons...vredenstein make tires that are max summer and 295F 335R "22 (Ultrac Vorti) that meet the Revs per mile percentage for the x drive. I have Ultrac sessanta. love them, look bad ass too. Fair price
