Beyond the lower control arms....?
Love this forum.
So I've had the clunking front suspension issue for a while. After watching the board and searching, I took action. My suspension IQ isn't real high, so I replaced the lower control arms, and the bushings were worn. After the replacement, I still have clunking, although less. If I could get some advice on the next steps, it would be very appreciated. How to check the rest out and what to consider replacing will help a lot. Thanks in advance...

Maybe the sway bar links are shot?

Let me know if you find an answer and I will do the same but for now I'm holding tight, its not that big of a deal for me and I haven't noticed a difference in ride quality, but I just want to make sure that the suspension isn't going to give out if I don't address the problem sooner rather than later. |

Take a look at the reviews here.. seems like Sunny is correct, the sway bars may be the fix for the clunking.

When I bought mine it was clunking, and sway bar links cured it. I would recommend getting underneath and checking everything for excess play when the suspension is loaded, before just throwing parts at it.

Glad you got to the bottom of it.
For others reading this thread, the "guide supports" that sit between the shock & chassis have been known to deteriorate over time as well depending on the climate you live in. Just something else to check. Front (2 per corner) # 31336778108 / Rear - #33526776399 Last edited by Deftronix; 09-22-2019 at 10:12 AM.. |

After control arms and sway bars, stlll some clunking. Strut mounts took care of all noise! On inspection, they were way worn with metal shavings and carved out metal (sorry no pic). Appreciate the input here!
