Anyone have Chateau Nevada Leather in their X6
Hi,
My 2012 is scheduled for production, but my dealer says i still have time to make changes, and after sleeping on it and then searching on google images, I feel I may be making a mistake about my choice of interior leather. I didn't want to go with black because I always choose that and I thought the Chateau looked nice on the 4 x 6 inch patch they had available, but no cars had it available at the dealership. On the net some pictures make it look very red and one make it look wine/purple colored. That cooled my enthusiasm. Anyone seen this or has this on their X6? Thanks in advance for replying, Michael P.S. Trim is bamboo and exterior is Black Sapphire Metallic Last edited by RUthrtngme; 07-14-2011 at 04:55 PM.. Reason: Added the P.S. |

I had originally ordered my '11 X6 50i with Chateau but my SA talked me out of it. It looks cool and all but resale is iffy. I basically wimped out. I love seeing chateau but didn't pull the trigger. I am very happy with my space grey and full black nappa leather interior.
good luck Scott |

Thanks for the reply. My dealer (including the manager and the salesperson) both recommended the Chateau. I plan to keep it for a long time and as long I enjoy it, no problem. The conservative part of me is terrified that I've just ordered my first custom car and drop a large wad of cash and may hate the interior because the small piece of leather was the same color as what shows up in my X6.
I'll keep you posted if I have the fortitude to stick it out. Thanks again for the opinion. Michael |

Mine has Chateau leather. I like it a lot, and has received a lot of great comments on it.
It is darker compared to the red seats on Z and 3ers, which is great. I personally doesn't like the bright red. Anyways, I have a picture below. I do apologize that this has photoshopped to enhance contrast. The red seats are not actually that red. You will have to use a bit of imagination to reverse engineer the color effect |

Thank you all for the quick reply. I actually had to make the call before 8:00 pm last night. I thought I had longer, but such is life. I'm afraid that I went the way of scottjays and just could stand the unknown and chickened out. I went Blk sapphire/Blk Nappa/Bamboo. The less conservative leather will have to wait for my next car.
Again thanks to everyone. Now if I can just decide between Blk or Ferric Grey 21" Wheels. (These are great delimas to have!!!) To all of you with the Chateau I think you have made a great choice. Thanks for submitting pictures of some sweet rides. Last edited by RUthrtngme; 07-15-2011 at 02:53 PM.. Reason: Added thanks for response. |
