X6 Residual Values

How well is the X6 holding on to it's value? I know all big cars and SUVs are suffering in this economic climate but the low supply of X6 seems to be helping with residuals. I want to buy a used X6 in the UK at the moment the 35d is hovering around £45k and I am looking to pay £35k. wonder how long it will take to get to that level?

It sucks which is why I paid all cash for vehicle. I think for my X6 50i it was either 46 or 48%. My lease payment with nothing down was $1850/month. I figure you will do a lot better yourself if you own vehicle because of the limited supply of them on the market. The finance person at the dealership also agreed and said if I was in a position to pay all cash that it would probably work out better for me in the long run

+1! Acutally was thinking about leasing once the dealer tried to screw me on my trade in. I financed a small portion, got a heloc, then paid it off in a week. Title on the way!

Due to the economy, and the massive losses for BMWFS for over-inflated residual values, my guess is BMWFS is intentionally making X6 leases unattractive until they know how the vehicle will fair on the resale market.

The new M3 also has surprisingly low residual values.

What is interesting, if you look at the values below, the X6 values are adjusted in a way to make leasing less attractive. However, during the 3-5 year mark, the values are higher than the X5. Clearly manipulation.

X6M residuals are 10+ percent less than the 5.0i. Tough to lease for that reason.

On the other hand, residuals are up on the 5.0i compared to last year. My lease residual at 24 months is 65%. That is a 16% gain, suggesting values are holding for the non-M versions.
