x6 space saver spare tire retrofit

2010 X6 35i.
I live in Canada where the space saver spare tire option is not available, so I ordered my 35i X6 without one. the question is, can I purchase the spare tire and other parts that come with the option that is available in the states and retrofit my X6 with it? how big of a job it is? can I do it myself, or do I need a dealer to do it? what parts are included in the mod?
any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the forum and I think I will be a regular visitor. cheers.

Thanks for the help.

I didn't order it yet. I was told it has everything including the jack. fits perfectly in lower storage area. BMW Canbec has it but any bmw dealer should have it too.

Thanks again. I will call the dealer to understand what the kit is all about.

You just need to remove lower storage cargo liner to install that spare.

I thought so, but I was not sure. I was hoping someone did the mod and can post his experience and photos. my car is a lease and so I don't want to do a permanent alteration...I may decide to buy the car afterwards though. any how, more info is appreciated by any one with experience in this topic. cheers to all and keep it coming.
