Switched 2009 X6 to 2010 X6 M

Cool website. I just traded in my gorgeous black on black X6 350hp with sleek black on black X6M, fully loaded. The price difference was painful. Hope it is worth it. I can't wait to test his power as soon as snow clears in DC area.

You mention 350 hp, so you must have had the 300 hp X6 xdrive35i, right? Or did you have the 400 hp xDrive50i?

At 555 hp in your new X6 M, I'm sure you're aware, that compared to your old vehicle you're in for a huge boost in horsepower with little weight increase.

Loving my new X6m after driving x6 300

Greetings, I promise to post pictures in the next few days. I have passed the break in period of 1200 miles already in two weeks. I love everything about my new fully loaded balck on black X6M. first of all, my old 2009 X6 35 X-drive navigation system sucked, (based on navigation CD that was dysfunctional), the new x6m is pure perfection. leather everything, including dashboards, heads-up display, and amazing seemingly unlimited power with minimal effort. I almost crashed it today in the DC blizzard as I tried to go uphill in 12 inches of snow. I was stupid not to get the winter tires on it, and I must tell you that it is impossible to drive in snow conditions with performance tires. I am lucky to have returned it to my parking safely. I am looking on tirerack.com to buy snow tires tonight.

Not to pry, but did you feel you got a good deal trading in the 2009 35i for the 2010 M? I have a 2009 50i and have considered going up to the M, but I'm worried about the trade-in (and I might also wait for the 2011).

I was very lucky with tradein. I put 15,000 miles on my 2009 X6 35i, and I only lost $1000 dollars when I traded it in. M is of considerably more expensive, by 30 grand almost, fully loades.

You're fortunate to have made it home safely...driving an suv/sav in snow without dedicated snow tires is a very bad idea. There are now a variety of winter setup options for the X5/X6 including snow tires for the stock wheel setup.

Very true. I got mine early but just got them put on Friday--just before we got clobbered with this snow storm. I must say, i was worried about a 20" snow tired, but the Pirelli Scorpion Ice are just amazing. Well worth every penny! looking forward to a great season of winter diriving!
