Velos tune - THANKS Omar!

It's been a while since I've posted anything here, but thought it prudent, as this past weekend, I installed Velos Designwerks stage 2 tune for our 2012 X6M. It's our second X6M, our previous one being an unmodified 2010.

Installation was easy, once we got around a small glitch (missing .dll file from any computer that I tried to do the upload on. Omar and his IT guys were awesome - they sent me the missing file, and it was smooth sailing from there onwards).

The X6 is now...... a BEAST. It seems that M mode really is where to be. In the mid-range, it pulls like CRAZY. Not that it was slow when stock, but now, the power just pulverizes the truck's non-inconsequential weight. Overtaking on single-lane highways just becomes an exercise in giggles.

When the roads actually clear up in the springtime, I will be running this thing against my LP560. I'm sure I know which will win, but given the right starting speed, it could get interesting. With the tune, the X6 really does pull that hard.

KUDOS to Omar and the guys at Velos Designwerks - fantastic product, and their back up was nothing short of exemplary!

Cheers!

Race ya for pinks...I agree I've installed this tune and it is another vehicle. The weight seems to have melted away with the additional power.

I used to miss the F10 M5 passing and high speed acceleration with this tune I feel like I have that again with the added luxury of traction! The tail on the M5 would get happy if accelerating from anything under 80 km/h.

Thanks for the tune Velos, can't wait to run TTBear tune vs tune. Then install my downpipes and see how it turns out.

If only I could beat the LP560-4.

Drew

I have a 2010 X6M - can someone tell me what this tune would do for my car and how much it costs?

Check with Omar for current pricing. He had a couple of refurbished personal tuners with the tune and was asking $1500 I believe? That's the route I went to save a bundle. Anyway, his website has a dyno graph that showed + 82 HP and + 120 lbs of torque if I remember right!
