X6 Noisy run flat tyres ?

Hello Chaps,
I seem to have some noise coming from the front of my X6.I cant make my mind up as to wether it is a bearing type noise, or tyre noise. My front tyres are nearing the tread wear limit, and so i was wondering if this was the noise ?. Does anyone know if the run flats get quite noisy when they are nearing their tread wear limit ?, thankyou, regards, SIMON.

What brand did you change to? I was told the car handle better after changing to non run flat. Any feedback from you? Do you have a spare tire in your X6?

I could be wrong but it might not be the fact that they are run flats but may due to the rubber compound that is used to manufacture the tire and the shape of the tread. I have a Cayenne as well as my X6 and am running Toyo Proxes ST II's on it with about 10,000 miles on them. They are now starting to hum. Of course the run flat Dunlop on the X6 and the Toyo's on the Porsche are to one degree or another designed for off road.....correct.(?)
