Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the car here in the states and then ship it over there to europe? That is if they come out with a disel verison. Dollar is worth crap agaisnt the euro right now.

How did you do it?

Just wanted to know how you ordered yours when 7 dealers in my area, yes 7 don't even have pricing and they aren't even taking orders yet.(as far as they want to say)

Lucky you. When I bought my X5 in 2002, I paid $79,000 Canadian which was about $51,300 USD. It was about a thousand dollars less than the same vehicle in the U.S. I just checked out the new X5 4.8 and, according to bmwusa.com and bmw.ca, it is 35 percent more in Canada even though our dollars are more or less at par. If that ratio applies to the X6, then the one I have configured will sell for $73,450 in the US and $99,160 in Canada!

I can't buy in the US as none of the dealers I spoke to is willing to sell to me for fear BMW will cut them off from popular vehicles and they will get stuck with slow sellers like the X3. Porsche, Audi, Toyota/Lexus, VW, and others have all dropped their Canadian prices by 5% to 8%, but BMW continues to demand -- and get -- top dollar for no reason other than that they can. Dealers here are selling every vehicle they can get their hands on.

I lust after an X6, but my lust diminishes somewhat at $100 grand.

PM me. I'll hook you up. Your dealers suck. Have buyers order WITH PRICE in hand.

Dealers here in LA not only do NOT take any orders yet but they have also no official pricing yet. Very strange.

They are bullshiting you because pricing is already in their national system where they can pull up the specs as to the base prices plus prices for each option and package.* I already put my deposit down and am #1 at my dealer in dallas and we put each option on the sales order and my car totaled out to $76k and change.Production for the TT V8 will start in August or September, depending on when they resolve their EPA problems.
