Np

The full set was 2,550 with the widest tires available shipped to my door with tpms and mounted/balanced.

I looked around for months and I just decided I couldn't pass up that price since it had 335's in the rear.

Really wanted Vossen CV3's but they only came in 10.5 wide and not in graphite color for x5/6 fitment so I would have had to powder coat them after buying them so I tossed that idea right out the window.

Here are my 20" 214s in black, I was basically looking at several of the same wheels you were and i was going to use the 214s for winter but I find so many of my friends love the 214s I am going to stick with them. I am going to get 20-25mm spacers for the rear and maybe 10-15mm for the front.
How ever if I didnt have the 214s and I was looking to buy something I think skunks set up is more the direction I would look or the 299style. I am a wide tire lover my car has 275/305mm but for some reason I have no inclination to go 295/335 on the X5??? It looks good but maybe I am getting cheap in my old age.
Before lowering and fender flares.

I have continental DWS and they seem great so far.

And on a side note this is one bad ass wheel/tire shot.

What offsets should I be running on my 07 x5? I have an extra set of 20s lying around but wasn't sure of the offsets that will fit on the x5.

bmw factory offsets range from 53 to 35 depending on the width.

I run +28 (10inch wide wheel) in the front and +10 (11 inch wide wheel) in the rear it's flush with the sport package fender flares. X5's are pretty versatile as far as offsets since they have plenty of space in the wheel wells even when lowered.

I highly recommend Wheeltechtuning -- ask for Ray.

you can put together any wheel/tire/tpms package you want through him.

definitely get staggered rim widths though whichever you go with.

new pic with my cheesy custom caliper covers lol (PS don't order them if you have a x5 4.8i or x6 35i yet I'm in the middle of testing for MGP... Their rear fitment for these cars is off so I sent them new measurements and part numbers and they are sending over new rear prototypes now)

They didn't know the calipers changed sizes half way through production on the x6 35i and that is what they used for R&D in the rear so they only had one size and it is the wrong one for x5's with the 4.8i.

If you do want to order them before I do final testing and send the unbranded/unpainted prototypes back to them. Because from what I know they will fit.

Order cover 22205 for the front and cover 22209 for the rear (you'll have to call to place that order)

x5 50i - 22209 all around
x6 50i - 22209 all around
x5 4.8i - 22205 front 22209 rear
x6 35i 22205 front and 22209 rear (up to 10/2008 production) or 22205 rear (post 10/2008)

so wheels with aggressive m3 offsets would fit?

m3's probably have a smaller centerbore than x5's. I'm assuming 72.56 vs an x5's 74.1

You would have to run adapters or bore the wheels out if they are hub centric to m3's.

Mate, you can probably pick up some OEM take-offs from Craigslist for not that much money.

yeah, disregarding the centerbore. I was trying to get a feel on the max offset with 9 and 10 inch "wide" wheels ( on 19 or 20s)

so in your opinion, it would be ok to run those offsets front and back ( basically offsets in the low et20s) and achieve a flush/slightly tucked profile?

yea although I wouldn't... they are too narrow for this SAV being that the factory x5 sport wheels are 20x10 and 20x11. I'd want as wide or wider.

yea in the rear you can go to around 8-12 and the front you can go mid to high 20's offset for flush fitment.

Oh yea trust me I know, I had to figure this out on my own trying 3 different sets of wheels and multiple spacer setups.

Like I said for me I run +28 (22"x10" wide) front and +10 (22"x11" wide) rear and its aggressive and flush and I'm lowered 2" with no rubbing etc.

just aim approximately for similar numbers within a few mm in either direction.

also width changes how much the offset sticks out so take that into account. You need slightly (5 or less) lower offset on a less wide wheel to achieve the same stance as a wider wheel.
