2013 BMW X6 M Sport edition(European) Fog Light Inserts - Black
I ordered M Performance Package and was thinking it comes with black fog light inserts because of configuration on BMWUSA site. BMW NA changed and said only European model with M Sport edition comes with black inserts.
The parts cannot be ordered in USA so I ordered them from Germany about six weeks ago. The parts were in stock last week and just receive today. My X6 is cabon black and silver inserts are very very ugly for the color. I replaced them and it looks much better Today, I also ordered black center upper and lower grills (non-sports) at local BMW and will change tomorrow. I have one more set of the black inserts for Rek Last edited by udmx6; 08-14-2012 at 03:54 PM.. |

Thanks Doug.

You can order blacks at your local BMW. Pre-LCI and LCI have the same parts except light trims. If you need help with black fog inserts, let me know. |

......or you could just remove the originals & PAINT them, right? $12.00 of paint and a few minutes of time and you don't have to wait the 3 weeks or have German contacts or have to part with the $200 BMW likely wants for those parts, right?

Yeah you can buy a spray paint for $12. Forgot primer?
You didn't think about peeling and stone chips either. I think plasti dip spray is the best choice(no sanding and no primer) because once it gets stones chips, you can easily peel off then respray it. Anyway, plasti dip is good for two years. The black center lower and upper grills on front bumper come with non-sport pkg. They can be ordered at any BMW part department in USA. |

I'd rather strip off the fog light trim before painting them, does anyone have any advice on the best way to remove them without causing damage? I'm also going to be stripping/painting the central upper and lower grilles. Any advice would be appreciated!
