I have both, and both are 2011s. Let's just say that I wouldn't EVER own one without some kind of warranty. The dealer just spent close to $6K (under warranty) repairing issues at 49K miles.
The on you're looking at is going on 6 years old. I'd get a newer one, like the LCIs that are 2011 are newer. |

I agree with P1et, I would never own one without a warranty. I think it also depends on how long you keep your vehicles and how many miles you put on each year. If your planning to keep it 4+ years and put 15k a year, I would be cautious starting out with 2008 with 55k.

I have a LCI & a family memeber bought a 2008 and to me its night n day. From the motor/trans, steering wheel quality, idrive unit is OLD & ugly. Drivers door feels empty & hollow. No bluetooth streaming. Non vs LCI lights are night n day. No active headlights No power liftgate. Few more things to list but I'm sure u get the idea.
Goodluck with ur "buying" |

I hear you mate, I realize cars are very expensive in Australia... But is it worth it to spend that much money on an older BMW? If I were you, I'd look at alternative SUV options.
