2008 X5 3.0si High-Mileage Reliability?
Hey guys, my lease on my 2008 X5 3.0si is coming up in a month and it's at around 33,000 miles. So far, I love this car, no problems at all, but I have heard of a few stories of costly repairs. I was wondering how reliable these cars are at higher miles (50k+) in general because I'm thinking about buying it out. Thanks! And is the extended warranty worth it in your opinion?

I sure hope it's reliable past 50k miles! lol
Mine is at 60k miles so far and no major issues. I purchased the EVP plan for up to 100k miles. Worth it in my opinion. Only a $50 deductible. And Golffrr I think is his name on this forum can get you in touch with his guys at his dealership for a good price on the plan. We plan on keeping ours for a very long time. It's also an 08 3.0si. Good luck! |

I got 77k on my 08 3.0si and I had the air condition unit go out around 55k, water pump at 67k and water hose. I honestly think it was a tore hose and not the water pump but got it replaced.
No other problems and plan to keep it past 100k.
