Should I have a BMW dealer repaint 2011 Blue X5 hood (for CPO Sale)?

Okay guys. Was thinking of picking up a 2011 X5 CPO in Blue Metallic.

Car has 15K miles and is in great condition except the hood. I have 16 little pockmarks on the hood that seem to hit the primer (see pics).

Dealer said they will cover the cost of the paintwork and agreed the deal to be contingent on how I felt about the work before purchasing.

There is no risk since I need to "approve" the work looks good. What are your thoughts?

Garage List
The X5 looks great but I would have the hood painted and then apply the 3M stone guard.

It's hard to say. You can have a pro touching up or you can re-paint. I don't care what people are going to say but each method have it's cons re-paint will never match the oem feel of the rest of the car and touch-up you will be able to see from really really close. If you plan to cover with clear bra both methods are good. Good luck

Interesting points and I agree. I can't imagine 16 pro touch ups but I was told they have to refinish and blend. Circle bmw has a highly regarded collision partner so let see how it goes. As long as it looks the same and I can't notice, that's all I care about.

The car will be traded in before the CPO is up anyway. I'll know this Saturday.

Take them up on the offer and have them repaint it. As far as blends go, today's technique is so improved that you will not notice. I have had bumpers and hoods sprayed and you cant tell the difference.
