Probably price! Also some of the reviews mention a questionable gas smell? Not sure about drone. Tips are beautiful tho...however Akra's are costly and most sellers I've seen try to get 90% of what they paid for what is still basically a used exhaust.

I think if anyone has done a little bit of research will realize that the gas smell only comes into question when you touch the downpipes, this is a cat back exhaust which has absolutely zero effect on exhaust smell. Also no one that i know of has ever posted a review or comment saying that the akra exhaust causes drone, and as a owner, I can also say that it does not. The simple fact is, this is the best exhaust available for the X5/6M, it's full titanium which is both very light and of very high quality. This is not just a axle back light all the meisterschaft, esienmann and etc, but a full catback exhaust also none of the others are titanium. It's a steal for OP's current price, for reference, a brand new set is 7K before shipping

To OP, good luck with the sale, who ever buys this is getting one hell of a deal

Just curious what this set will net me. What gains can be expected. I have a Velos tune (which would be redone) but otherwise stock. Thanks.

This is an amazing price for an awesome exhaust. I had the full EVO setup on my M3 before I sold it last year, and it is hands down the best setup you can buy. If I had an M now I'd be all over this.

Note to prospective buyers. You will see a slightly more pronounced exhaust smell on cold start (due to the primary cats being removed) but it disappears quickly, and really isn't that big of a deal to begin with.

It's already a great price, and worth every penny of what he's asking.

It's insane how much exhaust costs these days. Just go to costumes shop and they can make your catback system for $1200

^post up your custom exhaust that cost 1200, i don't believe for one second that any shop can do a full custom setup for that price on a X5/6M, that price will barely get you a set of downpipes

Especially not in titanium.

If I didn't have an Eisenmann already I'd be all over this. I would even consider it if it weren't for the lousy USD/CAN$ exchange and shipping cost.

Ok I went to the web site where it states this:
Statistics:
+11 HP (at 6,200 rpm)
+15 Nm/11 lbs-ft of torque (at 2,270 rpm)
23 kg/51 lbs. lighter than stock

Not much of a gain for me to get excited about. I do like the sound but not for that price. I'm not trying to devalue the seller's item hear at all...I've never looked into buying an exhaust system like this. There are some items I buy that I don't care what it costs...I just want it.

^ if this shop is not planning on using any resonators or mufflers, than maybe, but I still don't think so, for your reference, this set of custom exhaust was 3.5-4k, and the M is a full dual exhaust setup with 4 tips. The only way to make a full exhaust for that price is if the shop is sourcing from ebay

http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1047619

Honestly, the Akra full exhaust is the item that I said I would buy if I ever swapped the exhaust on this car. The build quality is ridiculously good and every weld is perfect. Plus the titanium saves half of the weight over the stock exhaust. When i picked up the front and mid sections, I simply couldn't believe how light it was that I had to put it down so gently because i was scared of breaking it, haha. The sound difference isn't big paired with the stock setup, but if paired with a a set of DP, the sound is absolutely amazing with the valves open. But with the valves off, the sound is barely louder than the stock setup with no drone or annoyance what so ever. That is the most amazing part of the Akra full exhaust, it's the composure that it maintains, which is perfectly befitting of our cars, even with a set of catless downpipe
