X6 20" Tires

Weird scenario happening...got a flat tire on my front Dunlop run flat tire, and since I purchased the wheel and tire warranty with my X6 50i, I called up the dealership to get the tire replaced (they don't recommend patching a run flat, and that is what I bought the warranty for)...only problem was that the tires are not available for at least 3 months!!!! Called up my wheel shop where I have bought tires in the past, and he said as long as it wasn't the sidewall where the puncture was, he could patch it...and confirmed what the dealership said about the lead time on the tires.
Well, that was that, and a month later, another nail in the tire (other front tire) and went through it again...and again was told that no tires are available.
I then called my BMW dealership and told them that I want a remedy...otherwise, what is my warranty for? Why would BMWNA or a dealership not have spare tires in stock for these cars?
After some pressure on the dealership, they have decided to replace all four of my tires to the alternate Bridgestone runflats that are specified by BMW. Any thoughts or experience with the Bridgestones? Just wondering...
As an aside, I have to say I am impressed by BMW Beverly Hills for taking care of this, and replacing all four tires. Great service.
Thoughts?

The 20" tires are the same size as the X5 which has been out for a while. I am not sure why tires would still be in short supply.

Yes...the front tires are what are in short supply...long time to wait...and as for the nails, lots of crap around LA on the roads...nails, bolts, etc...not fun.

I do not think that Bridgestone tires are nearly as good as the Dunlops. No thanks for Japanese tires!
