WTB - X5M LED headlamp conversion / parts wanted

Hi,

I'm want to upgrade the headlamps on my wifes 2010 X5M with the LED versions and a few of you have already done here on xbimmers.

Ideally looking for the complete kit but willing to buy individual parts too if the price is right.

Oh and i'm located in the UK so international shipping is preferred. I do have a very good buddy based in LA and I travel to California fairly regularly so shipping to CA would be an option.

How would you convert LHD headlights to RHD vehicles? The parts numbers are totally different:

Left Headlight - 63 117 359 369 RHD
Right Headlight - 63 117 359 370 RHD

Left Headlight - 63 117 359 365 LHD
Right Headlight - 63 117 359 366 LHD

Although BMW does sell the masking foil (63 11 2 302 603) to apply over the lenses. Can you pass a MOT with those on?

Very good question - I didn't realise that there were different part numbers for LHD and RHD units. The xenon headlamps have a mechanism inside that allows you to swap the beam pattern from LHD to RHD and I (possibly incorrectly) assumed the LED unit would be the same.

I've also read of people in the UK (on this forum) sourcing headlamps from the USA for conversions so i assumed (again, possibly incorrectly) they they can be converted.

I would love to hear from someone who knows a definitive answer.

Oh and yes I've seen some complete conversions advertised at ridiculously high prices, higher than the conversion cost from BMW brand new!

Hi there! a friend of mine who got me my set just got another and he's going to put in on eBay in a couple of hours, i live outside US and got'em shipped here believe me that's the best mod by far I've made! my SUV got 5 year newer with that the change is awesome!
here's the ad in case you want to check that out he's asking 3,250 complete with all modules mine's came immaculate the item number is 123011268237 but it'll be available in couple of hours

I'm still trying to find out for certain if LHD headlamps can be adjusted to RHD before I make any bids, hopefully someone will know

Hey Davissusana - that ebay listing ended before your friend responded to my eBay question - do you know if the units are still available?
