Updated headlights

I was looking in Amazon and came across these headlights. Has anybody installed them in their E70?

These have been talked about and someone had posted installed pics. They actually looked real good as I recall.

If I recall correctly...it was a member from Australia that posted pics of them installed in his e70 a month or so ago.

Here's an internet pic capture:

I know looks are subjective, but these lights just look way out of place on an old E70, IMO. Only the newest BMW's have these new angel eye designs (I don't even know what BMW is calling them anymore...just DRLs?).

But definitely cheaper than doing an OEM LED retrofit from a 2012/2013 LCI model though.

They look good, but I think they'll look even better if DRLs were thinner.

I couldn't wait much longer for updated lights and got the LED headlights

A lot of potential wasted with halogen bulbs. These won't fit the M models anyways.

Yea these are for the European models that had halogens from the get go.

I think the USA models came standard with HID and would not be compatible with these anyhow. And the X6 and X6M and X5M all have a different design where these are for the standard X5 so they wouldn't even fit.

But I agree I wish they had a good designer on board that would push for thinner and not so milky looking DRL's. But cost is always an issue. I'd figure they wouldn't mind spending some extra money on for the premium cars but then again their for older vehicles and need updating so the customer is probably 2nd or third owner and willing to only spend so much.

But imagine if they really put some time into them and made some premium alternatives the aftermarket lighting industry could be soooooooo sweeeet!

But I know we will
Only get so much.

For us as an OEM company designing a standard halogen headlight and not even getting into LED or HID is over a million and a half dollars just for development not even counting costs for tooling and all that Jazz.
