Shutter when accelerating at high speeds
When i'm accelerating onto the highway around 60-70 mph (typically in 8th gear) I periodically feel a shutter in the car. I cant tell if its an engine issue or something in the drive train. It almost feels similar to running over a reflector or a hard shift (for reference). There is no surge in rpm, more like a stumble/momentary loss of power. I was wondering if anyone has felt anything similar?
Typically its just one jolt then the car continues accelerating, but tonight it did it twice within a few seconds. Conditions have varied as far as outside temperatures etc. It seems to be under high load. The car is stock except for JB stage 1. Thanks

Over-boost condition, engine knock, or any number of things. Without some sort of data logging software, no on will really be able to help you.
Best bet, remove the piggyback, and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then the tune may be too aggressive at higher loads. Something common with aftermarket tunes, road conditions, and cold weather or higher loads like hills. |
