TPM Malfunction.
Hello All
After getting winter tires installed, When I start the car, the TPM warning light blinks, then the bottom of the idrive screen says TPM Malfunction. Eventually the TPM malfunction light stays solid amber in the dash. Car has all 4 TPM sensors in the wheels. When I go to reset TPM in iDrive the TPM menu, its say TPM resetting for a very long time and and then TPM malfunction messages come back. Tire pressure is good, only different from summer tires is winter tires are one size smaller Summer 255/50/19 Winter 255/55/18 Any ideas? |

Is this an american vehicle? I ask because most BMW Canadian vehicles use a different system that does not have sensors in the wheels.

When you went to relearn the TPMS did you tell it to reset and then drive the vehicle for about 5 miles to get the sensors to reset?

I had a recent issue, where a single sensor, unknown as to which, was causing a random tpms error. The fix was for the dealer to scan all four wheels to find the one causing the issue. It left no codes otherwise
