just picked up new x5 35i few questions
1) I turn the AC off... when I start the car the AC blows...and it's that weird smell with antifreeze scent..need to turn it off every time...annoying... how do I NOT have it turn on when i turn the car on...
2)Car has comfort access. I get out and click the little button on the hatch for the auto open feature...wont open... i press unlock once on the remote then the button again...opens... ideas?

Smell will go away. You are blowing wet (still drying cosmoline chemical into your car). Its a new car, it will smell funny for a few weeks, then it will stop. Some people like the chemical smell.

Car must be unlocked to open the hatch or trunk via remote on most cars. My e90, MDX and my Mercedes rental are all this way.

ahhhh, maybe the fact that I set the car to auto lock after it starts moving is doing this... meaning i open the driver's door to get out of the car yet all others including the hatch are closed.... will play around with it... good idea!
