saw x5m and x6m today in charleston

I was driving down a sidestreet while visiting Charleston earlier today and there was a completely uncovered x5m and x6m. I was headed on a one way street so had to keep going, but i made a trip around the block to see them again. They had them set out in front of a building and they were taking pictures for what i would guess to be for brochures or press release. the first time that i passed they were just finishng up taking pictures of the blue x5m and what i believed to be the x6 was still under cover. when i came around the block again they had uncovered the x6m and had pulled it where the x5m had sat before and were just starting to cover the x5m back up. I actually pulled into the parking lot where they were but as soon as i did that one of the people started walking towards my car, jokingly i asked what he was taking pictures of and he said "of the building" I just kind of laughed and pulled out of the parking lot. The x5m was a blue metallic, which looked gorgeous. I was extremely surprised at how big the front air dam was. The x6 was just a straight red with all of the plastic trim around the wheel wells being body-colored. Both of their front ends were exactly the same. The wheels reminded me somewhat of the m6 wheels, they were a perfect fit for the car. Im pretty sure that the little m-vent on the fender included the turn signal a la m3, it didnt even really appear to be much of a vent, very small, very tastfully done unlike many other suv's of nowadays. It is an downright mean looking vehicle. I am so mad i didnt have anything to take a picture of it, the only pictures ive seen so far have still been somewhat camo-ed.

Was the rear end more finished than the quad pipes we have seen in the camo versions?

man i only saw the front and the side from where i was, i would have had to get out of the car and walk around and i have a feeling they wouldnt have been too kind if i did. i have just looked at a few pictures of the camo'd cars and i will say its a whole different beast in its finished form. the test mules all have different wheels and the plastic around the wheel wells isnt painted. In the cars finished form with everything painted, and the wheels they put on there, and the uncovered front bumper... wow does it look good. i dont know what the blue color is called but my god is it good looking.

The black trim around the wheel wells were painted to match the body color?

yes all parts of the car which are usually black plastic were painted... it really does make a big difference in how these cars look fit and finish. very clean look. i personally thought that bringing an m version of these suvs was kind of stupid, but after seeing them in the flesh, i will say i get it now

im just interested to see what those pictures show up in, whether it be the brochures or the actual press release. it was funny how quick they were to cover them back up.

the fifth picture down(in the link above) is the location i saw the pictures being taken, there should also be a photo of a blue x5m at that exact location... funny to actually see the pictures weeks later.
