Leaking water in engine compartment

Hello guys , I recently saw a problem on my bmw x5 40d that water dripping under driver side brake fluid reservour i will add pictures drain plug is clean. I saw post about broken engine partitions but i change them. what can cause this leakage or its suppose to drip into that place? thank you for answers really appreaciate that.Name:  IMG_20230201_101212.jpg

It seems like coolant leaks from your engine. I would recommend to open your hood and keep your engine running to visually check where water comes from.

Disregard prior msg. Just saw that it’s melting ice.

Water can seep in under the cowl that spans the bottom of the windshield - particularly when the cowl ages and it not as pliable to make a good seal. It should drain through the ports behind the fender wells.

This is pretty normal stuff. What specifically is concerning?

Considering there is snow in the engine compartment I would think its still the engine partitions. I would double check that you installed them correctly. Pour water on top to check for leaks.

Also maybe the seal at the bottom of the windshield(part# 51717151969)? I'm not sure off the top of my head if that would leak into the partition tray or below it though.

Thank you for answer 😁. I think like you said about windshield cawl is old and sealing isn't good so water leaks under him. But if it does'n make any problems it's all good.👍
