Wider block look with RFT's
Would i be ok if i replace my rear tires 315/35/20 bridgestone RFTs with a wider tire 325/35/20 non RFT DWS? Hate to loose the block look that i currently get with Bridgestone RFTS…. so i figure if i go slightly wider 325/35/20 instead of 315/35/20 it may make up for some difference?
Any thoughts? |

Part of what gives the Bridgestone tires the block look is the stiff sidewall. Looks awesome, but you will lose that if you go with non-RFT tires. Going for a wider tire will make you lose the block look even more.

You can see here that the aggressive block-look is gone even with 315 tires. Imagine what it would look like with 325s on the same wheel. The less aggressive thread of the Bridgestones also add to the look. You will have to make the decision between looks and comfort.

It should also be noted that it is a VERY bad idea to arbitrarily upsize or downsize tires in a staggered setup.
Case in point. http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1001253
