Heat issue

It is currently really cold in Chicago. So I turned on the heat and the car is only pushing heat through the passenger side and cold air out of the driver side.

I know it could either be a leaky evap system or low on freon. My question is, will the car give me a code for a leaky evap (my dads mercedes gave a code for a leaky evap)

I have a appointment to have it checked, but wanted to get some idea of what I am looking at having to get done.

Had the exact same issue on my e70. Thought a blower or even the heater core went bad. It turned out the electric water pump was the culprit. So I had it replaced along with the thermostate since it's located in the same area.

had that done. Removed the lid to the coolant tank and it looks like I am low on coolant. Ordered some BMW coolant and will fill up and bleed tomorrow.

Look through some of the paperwork that I gave you. I think some work was done on the A/C under warranty.
