X5M brake caliper covers

Does anyone know what year they started putting these on X5Ms? I know 2013 not sure about 2012? Can you put them on a 2011?

I think they started using late 2012 models.
They are exactly same calipers in cool color so if you have earlier X5M (2010-2012), it's direct swap. But I'm not sure it will work with non-Ms.

Part number??? I didn't know it was just a cover - I thought it was the caliper that was painted.

If its just a cover it should be reasonable. I smell an upgrade!

It's just painted a different color, with an ///M logo. You can have your caliper powdercoated any color you want, and put the logo on it, for a unique look.

Yes, but that requires taking it out of commission for a couple days to properly prep, powdercoat, and put it all back together.

Maybe down the road...

Not my color but that looks awesome. I have admired those since you first posted pictures of them. Any pics of them installed?

Nice work! Im assuming powder coated? Is there a paint color for that or is that orange known as "brembo orange"? How did you get raised brembo letters on there?

I have caliper covers on all my Ms, there is a local manufacturer in Chicago called Viga Design. I can PM the contact info to anybody interested. You can pick your color and logo. One of the coolest cosmetic upgrades to personalize your car.

Yes it's powder coated, I just told my powder coater what I wanted and he nailed it a creamy orange with a bunch of pearl. The brembo is a sticker that was put on before the clear coat was applied.

Besides pulling the brake lines off the caliper, do you need to order new seals, gaskets, etc when re-installing them?

You might be able to save the old seals but I recommend to change everything. I changed everything.

Is there a single part number for all the seals?

Has anyone installed "///M" brake decals on their black X5M calipers? I was looking for ones that are reflective.

These are mine, bought the calipers off ebay for cheap and painted them body color. Always liked the way my 135is calipers looked so this is similar.

I pray the op is joking,
Screw that JC Whitney caliper cover bullshit! You have no idea the ridicule you get behind the scenes, we all know that shit is fake and your car doesn't deserve that type of cheap Chinese plastic on it. Do it right or not at all. Or just paint your stockers but please don't put caps on it.
