Ordered X5 M50d

Just ordered another X5, this time a M50d. set down for May 2012 production, should arrive late June or early July. Can wait 750nm torque compared to my current X5 Sport diesel at 600nm.

Yeah, it'll be interesting how the 50i with the M Performance Pack stacks up to the M50d.

Don't have the figures at hand, but if I recall, it has more torque and slightly less horsepower than the 5.0i (stock). I'll be curious to see what the tuners can do with it though, since it's well down on power over even a simple Dinan flash upgrade (which I have: 495hp and 576lb-ft of torque).

BMW now offers the M Peformance Package (ZMX) for the 50i starting with the April 2012 builds in at least the US market, it bumps it to 440 hp and 480 ft-lbs from the factory. Pretty much like offering the older performance power kit as a factory option. I'm not sure if available to the other markets as well. Think it was a consolation prize for not getting the M50d...

Better off saying what it does not have and that's a B&O Audio System, otherwise all option boxes are ticked.
