Question about NAV and playing DVD's

Just bought a 2009 BMW X6 5.0 today and want to know how to get it to play DVD's in motion and not just in park. Is there a wire I can just snip or do I HAVE to pay $300-500 for the NAV TV thing? Thanks

There is no way to watch tv or play dvd in motion for security reasons!

I'll post pictures as soon as I get it all cleaned up. Rained all day yesterday when I picked it up. It's Black on Black, pretty well optioned, no full leather though, if I had ordered it, I would have got that plus the rear entertainment. Oh well, still love it.

I know if I pay for the NAVTv thing it can do it, but I wanted to hold off paying like $500 for that if there was something more simple to bypass it with.

Also, does anyone know if any companies like Vishnu offer tuning stuff like the do in the 335i motor? I would love to throw a tune on this thing and get another like 85hp and 100tq-ft. Thanks.

Dinan is working on one and I am not sure if NavTV works with the X6 50i yet. I looked for one several months ago and nothing was available yet.

here you go..
"Dinan is seeking the use of an X6 xDrive50i as well as an X6 xDrive35i for software development! The volunteers will receive free performance software! Call 800-341-5480 for more information. The car must be brought to Dinan in Morgan Hill."

You could look into this kit if you can't find anything else.
