Are you refering to the negative bond cable running from the battery to the cars chassis?

It wouldn't make any sense to replace that cable to fix the battery drain issue!

sure it would. the IBS tells the DME how discharged the battery is. its in its logic to tell the alternator how much to charge.

you see, there are a LOT of things you dont understand on this vehicle, and this is one of them. no big deal, thats the tech's job not yours.

I was talking about the bonding cable between the chassis and the negative battery terminal. As far as I know, they do NOT do low side current sensing in this car.

the IBS IS the doohickey that most people would call the negative ground cable, which goes from the battery to the chassis, or in your case and definition a bonding cable thing.



IBS......
Intelligent
Battery
Sensor.

or ground cable for short
