That is very nice that it still includes a spare.

Love / Hate !

LOVE the x6, but HATE the very warm air vented into the cockpit during the summer. Have to open windows for cool breeze or use A/C!
Anyone else feel the same??

I hate the fact that the new Idrive is not included in the 09 since the lease rates are pretty killer for the X6 right now.

I had this problem with my x3.

You may look on the dash and see a simply dial, that will allow you to adjust hot and cold air venting by itself. It is designed to allow control of air temp to the face, regardless of where the Heat & A/C is set.

See if that might be the problem, because it is easy to overlook.

A smaller version would be nice. Seating for 4 is not my idea of a dream come true, for a car of that size, but I guess that is what makes the car what it is.

The 6 cyilinder is around 4900 lbs and the V8 is 5300 lbs.

In contrast the M6 vert is 4400 lbs. Most smaller SUVs are in the 4-5k lb range.

So I don't think the weight is a big deal. Especially when the handling and MPG is about the same as a much lighter 335 sedan.

Getting a lot of brake dust on the front wheels and no way I expect to see 17k miles on the tires - but given the weight and speed it's shedding on the kind of very fast twisty roads I drive, it's not exactly unexpected. What is unexpected is the way something so big and heavy can be thrown about - some kind of suspension of the laws of physics are at play with this thing.

the higher center of gravity magnifies the effect of extra weight - the car certainly doesn't feel light to me, just agile thanks to the mechanical trickery.

I understand, and assume you will replace those with non-RFT's once they are gone.
read a few days back that bridgestone have come up with tech to improve run-flats - so there's hope for the best of both worlds:

http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsAr...llCars/241209/

Quote:
The poor ride associated with run-flats is caused by the tyres’ very stiff sidewalls, which help keep the tyres rigid in the event of air loss. However, this new breed of run-flats includes three new technologies that allow a softer tyre sidewall to improve pliancy over bumps.
