I was thinking the same thing. I might just have the dealer use my 2011 ordered vehicle for inventory and order a 2012 instead. More bang for the buck.

Thanks for posting. Interesting - they included comfort access keyless entry in Premium package now. Also Rear manual side window shades in it. Also..Technology package makes a lot of sense now and premium sound package now cheaper.
Thanks again.

Didn't do the math to see if it is cheaper, but definitely it makes more sense. Been trying to find a 2011 with convenience, cold weather, tech + CA and it's almost impossible. They are always missing either the CA or the tech.
This makes it a lot easier as we would only need to order a 2012 with convenience and cold weather and it would cover the same as the 2011 as stated above.

I guess this is good or bad depending on what options you may choose. I looked though my 2011 options and repriced it based on a 2012 model. The 2011 is priced at a MSRP of $64,525, a 2012 with the "same" options would be $65,050, a difference of $525 MSRP.
But, you get a 1-year subscription to sat radio included with the sound package now...but, in 2011 that cost $350...so as far as I can tell the car is $175 more in 2012 assuming you picked the same options: Conv, Tech, Cold, Prem Sound, CA, and running boards. Did anyone else notice the BMW Apps is $250???

How long do we have to wait for edmunds or nadaguide to have the invoice pricing on the 2012's? Also will the finance rates be different for the 2012 x5's vs the 2011's which have 2.9% for up to 60 months?

my dealer was nice enough to allow me to convert my 2011 to 2012. For the price of an extra month delay plus ~$300, i get side cameras (big + as wife always gets those 20s scratched), HUD, BMW Apps and the new headlights.

Guys,
2012 BMW X5 (I6) retail price sheet.pdf only has MSRP prices. Did anyone get their hands on the Wholesale Prices (Invoice) yet? Would greatly apreciate it!

I thought it was always $250 since it came out in late 2011? Maybe I got confused because I saw it was $250 on the X3 forums as well.

I agree with kimi_fan above - it depends on what you want. I am not sure I examined or understood this fully yet, but I was looking to order the SAV in March/April and without three of the now-standard options, so the $ 2700 uplift in price is VERY upsetting to me. Plus, as far as new features on the 2012, it is only the angel eyes? Does anyone know if these are white, bright white, or the uglier pseudo-yellow? Additional question (excuse the ignorance): there is no such thing as trying to still get a good deal on a 2011, since now they are all made to order, right? Last question (sorry): when should we expect this price (and 2012 models) to be effective?

I was a little aggravated when I saw the new 2012 price sheets but my 2011 that is on order for week 12 (March 21st) was dollar for dollar. If you are planning to lease the numbers are great and the numbers for the 2012 by what I was told will be higher because of a higher money factor. Makes sense since BMW is looking to move the 2011 inventory. Depending on the dealer, there are still build slots out there. Week 13 (March 28th) will be the last build week for 2011's. I ordered mine on Feb 19th using one fo their 2011 allocations and was still able to modify it yesterday to add premium sound.

For me, I will probably wait for 2012. I am here in Europe and will purchse through military sales (so no ecco credit). With the packages that I ordered, I can actually get a 2012 for $750 less and get HUD, auto high beams. I am scheduled to get my vehicle now June 21st (will pick up at BMW factory in Welt), but, will tell my salesman to cancel and price me out a 2012 if he can.

Oh my Goodness,
To see what other Countries in the world pay for european cars makes me drool.... In good O'l Australia, prices are for European cars are much, much higher than those shown even calculating the change in US dollar, and at the moment are on close to parity. In comparison, mine just being a 3.0 litre diesel with the MPack, and innovations package including sunroofs was close to $130,000 and lease deals over here are hovering around the 8-10% interest rate. An X5 M will set you back a cool $179,000 plus all on road costs, registration and insurances. Not fair me thinks… |

Just ordered my 2012 X5 xDrive 35i. Week 14 production (which is the first week for MY2012 and for 6NR). The price I paid ($57,680) is only $80 more than if I had ordered a 2011 a month ago, so I do believe, depending on the options you choose of course, that BMW has lowered its prices. I say this b/c the new config adds $1650 worth of features and only omits $300 (side-view camera) from my earlier config. So they way I see it, I'm ahead $1,270. Now I won't mind paying $175 for the snap-in adapter for iPhone integration
I've attached my build, as well as the 04/11 SOP. Cheers! 2012 X5 35i Premium.pdf |

The op attached a file that mentions a v8 diesel. Was this some kind of type o? The reason I ask is that VW (group) does have a v8 tdi used in the European market.
Could it be that BMW has a new secrete v8 in the works? The 3.0L tri turbo 45d in the works seems like it would have plenty of power to compete but who knows? |

Does anyone know when the 2012 pricing will be reflected on the Build Your Own on bmwusa.com? Also, if I want delivery in late May or very early June, when should I place an order?
