I do notice I don't feel to well after a 30min drive or so even with the windows up. I have never owned a after market catless DP car before so I'm not sure what to expect. Or even if my car has a exhaust leak? I am guessing my best option is to swap the DP to a catted one.

Thanks for the help!
Uhhh... Get that checked out ASAP... Might not be your exhaust.

I have catless, straight-through 3" with a custom setup I made for the rear which is free-flowing, but kills the 1280rpm drone you get with a muffler-delete (using Helmholtz principles). Loudness is directly related to throttle, so lifting decreases volume considerably, and barks/pops are only on demand/shifting behaviour.

Depending on which fuel I'm using at the time, the smell can be quite strong, and only really noticeable on cold start when the wind is blowing exhaust back towards the car. Running a higher ethanol mix reduces the noxious smell (everyone likes corn).

With either catted or catless the fumes should not be coming into the cabin. I would have it checked for a leak.

I live in VA,...must pass emissions test! If I'm hearing you correct,...one can install "Catless DPs",....and add a "CAT" farther down the line,...and have the same benefits "Catless DPs"?

Note, I ask for the reason that I have a 2010 535xi that I want to toy around with,...I've added an MHD tune,...and I know Catless DPs,...a larger IC and free'er exhaust will allow me to go to their Stage 2 Tune. But! I have to pass emissions every 2 years! So, I was thinking about adding Catless DPs and a much larger CAT down the line.

Note, I know this is the X5M board,...but the concept is the same! TIA...

Someone posted about these a month or so ago. They stated it did not line up properly and required a decent amount of work to get them aligned properly. In the end he was a few $100 shy of just purchasing a set that was built properly.

Is anyone running catless downpipes with stock exhaust? Would this setup alleviate the fumes and keep the noise and drone at bay?

I know the Becker and VRSF ones don't line up right, but haven't seen anyone running these. They seem to be well made, and the bungs look to be in the right place. I am hoping someone is running them to test for me haha
