LUX H8 V4 and Extras from IND

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Just got done installing LUX H8 V4 as well as Blacked out Grills, Black Side Markers, and Painted Front Reflectors from IND.

First impression is that it looks great but the overall install is a PITA, especially with the LUX and the Black Side Markers. After a couple of hours of swearing, cursing, and some bleeding hands it was done.

Unfortunately after being extremely frustrated with the difficulty of fitting my hand to install the LUX I accidentally dropped my pen flashlight in the side of the engine bay. It went all the way down to the bottom. No idea how to get it out. Any input on that one would be greatly appreciated...

Here is a couple of pictures of everything installed.

Great looking X6M, those painted front reflectors are so subtle yet they make all the difference!

If you can see the flashlight looking straight down in the engine bay, you may be able to use a device with a long grab handle with a clamp at the end to pull it out. Don't know what it's called, but the idea is same as those things they sell for old people to be able to pick things from a high cabinet in their kitchen. That's a tough one.

I have a quarter that fell through my center console ashtray underneath, somehow, and now it rolls back and forth whenever I accelerate or decelerate! I imagine I have to disassemble the center console to get it out!

If you thought that was difficult - you may find installing your upgraded downpipes and exhaust to be impossible! Lol

Nice truck

Nice truck
I guess it did not help with the fact that I started late with minimal lighting (which is why I had to use the penlight that I accidentally dropped into the engine bay).

Next time I will definitely plan it better. Install during the day so that I can actually see what I'm doing and not rush. I was just so excited to get it done that I started as soon as I got off work, assuming I would finish before the sun went down, which did not happen...

One quick question:
Did 300M wheels change to regular silver finish?
They used to be 2 tone-polished face with gunmetal on the side- but looking at your pictures, your 300M wheels look regular silver wheels like 299Ms.
Does anyone know?

Everything looks great! The LUX kit coupled with the gloss black front grills really give the X6M a menacing appearance.
