Broken down.
I have been traveling weekly for work so the beast has been staying Monday -thursday at the airport. Two weeks ago I got the reduced power message. After couple of re-starts the message was gone but the engine light was still on. Went by the stealers and since mine is a 2010, I am hoping that the recall of the injectors would take care of that. I am still waiting for a friday time slot.
But worst, This past week and I arrive at the airport and got to the beast, she would not start. Battery not an issue as I had lights. She would just not turn over. While sitting and trying to get her started, I notice some smoke coming from under the hood, closest to the windshield(driver side). I pop the hood and could smell a burn smell. Something electrical... She has been towed to the best shop in town. Any one have any ideas? |

I would also think the smoke/burning smell was the starter. As for the engine not turning over it might have been a faulty injector flooding the combustion chamber and basically hydrolocking the engine. Was there a smell of gas at all? Keep us posted.

the explanation that I was given was that route66 basis the part prices from like autozone.. And as he said it, "who wants to put autozone parts on a 100K vehicle".
