Hood gap/adjustment help

Hi guys,

I have a 2011 X5. When filling up the washer fluid I noticed the driver side of the hood doesn't completely sit down. The latches seem to engage yet I can pull that side of the hood up 0.25-0.5".

I started by trying to shorten the driver side hook that latches but seems to make no difference.

The cars never been in an accident and everything lines up perfect.

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'll try some wd-40 + grease and see if that's the case.

Thanks
