The Dummy at the car wash......

I stopped by at a hand car wash place and as they were wiping the truck down i saw the guy close the rear hatch by hand....now the hatch wont go up by it self,,either by pushing the hand button or the remote or the dash button. It makes all thye normal whirring and clicking sounds but does nothing. Any ideas ? Thanks Guys !~

I assume you've turned then engine completely off, then just turn on the ignition and seen if that works?

I've closed my trunk manually before, and it still works fine. Though maybe they've improved things in the LCI models?

I've seen the car wash guys close mine manually a few times and it still works fine...however, I do try to make an effort to let them know to push the button to close it.

Climb into the back and use the manual release. Sometimes that will reset the hatch.

So, I should NOT close the hatch by hand?

I have close the hatch by hand dozens of times with no issues. Sounds like a defective part
