sports suspension

I am looking at strut kit. Is sports suspension the self leveling stuff feature? How do I know I have it? By looking at the strut and finding some extra mechanic?

I was told that by looking at the seats, where the leg support comes out.

I'm pretty sure I have the sports suspension, but it's not a leveling system. A VIN decoder will give you all the options installed in your car and call it out specifically.

Now there is something call "adaptive drive," and that is something that is an extra package, costs a lot, and is full of electronic suspension trickery. Again a VIN decoder will tell you if you have that.

Not sure if sport suspension is any different in the E70s. The leg support you're mentioning is the difference in the rear seat for a 2 row vs a 3 row version. The E70s with a 3rd row came equipped with air ride that self levels in the rear only.

The parts guy didn't say anything on the 2/3 rows.

I think I misread your original post. My original response was with regards to the 2nd row of seats which the middle seat has a cutout rather than a full bench when equipped with the 3rd row. That is where my confusion came from.

There isn't a singular way to know whether you have the sport suspension other than what mitch808 mentioned earlier. When running your VIN you'll see option S226 if you have the sport suspension.

For instance; I have the sport package which includes the thigh support on the front seats, however I still have option S225 which is the standard suspension. I do also have the 3rd row which comes with the self leveling rear springs (S220).
