Geneva 2011 Live: Lumma CLR X650
BIMMERPOST NEWS Geneva 2011 Live: Lumma CLR X650 While touring the Geneva autoshow, you come across all sorts of BMWs, not just the OEM products BMW has on display, but a whole array of cars from aftermarket tuners. Here is the Lumma CLR X650, based on the BMW X6. The massive bodykit widens the SUV by 5 cm on each side with an accompanying front bumper that means business. Carbon fibre is on tap a plenty to give the pure aftermarket look to BMW's most sporty SUV. In the end, this isn't my cup of tea, but the desired effect was accomplished as the SUV certainly stands out among the pack. |

this is just overkill imo. there are some individual design elements that i like, but put together this things just looks like an unmitigated disaster.

I like the rear look, I also like the front bumpers if you take the fog lights out, didn't like the wheels neither the yellow calipers, the fender extensions are great, didn't like much the air intakes

Like the diffuser...black paint streak and double fog lights in the front needs to go...a lower drop might be a good idea too

Put those black wheels on the X5 in the background on the X6 and that would be sick!!

The rear lip spoiler is the best looking one I have seen. Overall this has some nice features, and comes together well.
By the time you are done with all this, does it cost more than a ///M? Does it have the better parts of the ///M? |

EUROPEAN car by EUROPEAN tuners loved by EUROPEANS.
It's always kinda funny how AMERICANS react, like they are going to throw up or something. Fact is, even for American modders, your "ideas" typically originated in ... EUROPE ... in case some of you were unaware. Even you OEM kits are distinctively ... EUROPEAN ... just as the vehicle is distinctively EUROPEAN. Anyway, I love the car (like the Hamaan on the X6 more personally). It definately stands out, and that is the diff between Euros and Yankies. Yankies are content to have a car that looks just like the other 200+ models you see on your roads. That is neither unique or individualized. Plus, it goes to show ho has the $ to spend and who does not. Buy a $60K-$120K car and then throw another $40K on the exterior and another $30K on the interior, well, most Yankie Bimmer owners can't do that. |
