Run-flat and tire preassure monitoring question

I just bought a new set of 20" style 214 wheels and tires for my X6 3.0d ( not here yet )

My concern goes because my car came with factory 19" w/runflats , so I was wondering if I will have any kind of trouble when I switch to the new non-runflat tires and non tire preassure monitoring system ?

Do you think the car will give me some kind of warning or any electronic error message ?

Any suggestions or comments will be highly appreciated
Bernie

Well...I took the runflats off my 2006 3 series and replaced them with larger wheels and I didnt have any problems although you might be able to tell the diffrence at higher speeds. I see your in Costa Rica and I know the roads down there arent the best ( I visit there often ) so you might have some small issues.

Thanks a lot for your feedback, you are right in some way, streets here are not the best in any terms, we do it to get tourist a "safari kind experience" driving around my country......
My real concern are not the wheels or the tires, is that the car will give me some electronic error or not.
Is it worth it to get the special transmitter boxes that are located inside each wheel for air preassure monitoring system ?

I would ride around for a few days and if you dont get an error..good. If you do Im sure you could take it to a dealership and they could fix the problem...I wouldnt buy the transmitter box until all else fails.

Standard "monitoring system" ( not air pressure monitoring) :ABS sensors also monitor wheel diameter when u have air loss sensors react to smaller wheel diameter.
As long as wheels diameter are all the same system should work run flat or reg tires. Check w/ur SA next time.
