Undecided x6 50i or x6 35i

hey guys new to the forum! Cant make up my mind lease will be up soon on a 335i coupe, want an x6 but the only thing is that i like the way the x6 50i looks with the wide shape exhaust tips than the round ones on the 35i. Plus the gas situation dont know if is worth getting the 50i just for the nice exhaust????

well, if its only exhaust, then search a little on this forum because there is no problem to change exhaust pipes from 50i to 35i.

I guess it depends how you rate the better performance and better engine note (i6 vs v8) against the increase in price and fuel consumption which is surely a personal decision?

Just went through this on Saturday. Drive the two cars, my wife actually liked the 5.0 better and with some incentives we were able to get it down about $11k off sticker which I thought was a pretty good deal. Picked it up today and let my father drive it. He's a BMW loyalist and he loved the car, first words out of his mouth were. Damn, that's got some power.

Your going to post some pix right??

I agree, there is a pretty significant difference between the two...And the difference definitely transcends the exhaust tips!

You tell me!

V6-
Less Money- If your budget is limited.
Less Power- If you don't care.
Less Gas- Save money.

V8-
More Money- Cost $10,000 extra
More Power- V8, Turbo Charge- It will move 5300 Lbs easily
More Gas- wmf..., suck a lot of gas.

I used to have M5 - E60, it consume same gas like X6-V8, but X6 is more everyday driving car. My wife will never ever drive M5. I only drove 11,000 miles in 3 years. Now, she loves X6.

I drove X6-V6 many times it handles almost same compare to V8.
V-6 transmission is fast, acceleration is good.

I think the major differeence is: high speed acceleration, V8 gives you better and faster acceleration when car is moving on higher speed. Simply it's V8- 2 extra legs.

V8-
Good- good acceleration.
Bad- sucks more gas than V6, and cost $10,000 extra.

Good Luck!
