spartanburg delivery discounts?
hi all...i'm new to the forum and am contemplating trading in my '09 CTS-V for an X5 50i. i need more room for the family and the german shepherd but still want to retain a decent level of driving performance.
i did a forum search on PCD discounts but didn't find anything...was wondering what kind of discounts folks were getting on having their X5's built in conjunction with doing PCD. Thanks fellow driving enthusiasts! |

ah...i thought you would be able to get some kind of discount since any amount above invoice would be pure profit to the dealer since it's coming straight from the factory. thanks for the heads up.
my pup will turn 6 this november, thanks for asking. i stuck a picture of the would be trade in if anybody gives a poop. |

Your boy is beautiful! I'll have to dig up some pics of my "kids."
One advantage to PCD and you being in NC (relatively close), is that you can work with any dealer in an effort to obtain the most aggressive deal. I take it the CTS-V sport wagon was too small?

the doggy is a big goofball...we trained him pretty well...he lets my 3yr old daughter do whatever she wants to to him. stacking couch pillows on him while he's laying down is a favorite. spartanburg is only about 3.5 hrs from my house...and there are 3 BMW dealerships within an hour from me so i'm sure i would do ok. was hoping for a ED type deal though but oh well. looked at the Vagon but it's a bit too small. and no AWD. |

There are incentives to do a Performance Center Delivery even without a discount. You (and your wife or friend) get a hotel stay with dinner included, the whole morning on track, time on the X5 off road course, a plant tour, and a first class delivery of the car with far more time for questions than you'll ever get at a dealer.
Note it is possible to buy a BMW off the lot and get them to throw in the "BMW 101" experience, similar to the PCD, you just don't take delivery there. I did that with a Z4 at Hendrick.
