Extended Warranty Suggentions

I did a search and unfortunately I couldn't find an answer to my question.
I just bought a 2004 4.8is with $77k miles. I went ahead and bought the extended warranty through the dealer just so I'll have some coverage while I researched this. The warranty is 2/yr 24k for about $2400. I was wondering FROM THE PEOPLE THAT ACTUALLY BOUGHT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY how much did you pay for yours and did you get it online? If so, who did you go through? I'm just wondering if there is a better/longer warranty for about the same price, if not cheaper.

Yes I know if I keep up with regular maintenance I "shouldn't" have any problems. But realistically, when buying a used car, who wants to believe that the previous owner kept up with the maintenance???
