X5 to X5M Heads Up?

Someone on youtube posted a video stating that they flashed their software for their heads up unit on their X5 to have the same look/functionality of the X5M. Does anyone know if he's just bs'ing or if thats really possible?

Yes. Through coding. However RPM will not be calibrated to your engine.

There is talk it can be re-calibrated but I've seen no evidence of this.

Over on b-m-w-coding they claim it can be recalibrated via coding. So there you go !

I wouldn't go all out and do this. I have the x5m heads up and there isn't any difference besides the rpm tachometer thing. And to be honest when your driving fast, your eyes are peeled on the road in front not focusing on the little color dial on the windshield. All I need on my heads up is the navigation and speedometer.
