Canadian Aftermarket Warranty

I am going to be flying out to sign papers on my new X6M next week and they are proposing SAL warranty,,It has a year or so factory, 2 years certified, but I want to extend further for peace of mind and also resale.

I will enquire about BMW extended warranty but I heard its $$$$. SAL is roughly $3675 to 3017(100 to 300 deductible) for as additional 3 year 40 000 taking me to 9 years and 200 000km from original purchase so for me 2020.

Any thoughts guys, or experiences both positive and negative?

Any other options out there....maybe its province specific?

DON'T DO IT! I will say this again STAY away from SAL. It's not worth the paper it is printed on! No matter what they tell you these guys are impossible to work with and make a claim. I had nothing but problem after problem trying to get warranty work out of them. I had to resort to legal action. At least with the BMW warranty your warranty will be honored. Remember you can negotiate the warranty. On a BMW warranty they have at least $600-$700 bucks in there on average. It's gravy for the dealer play hardball and offer to split the margin everybody wins.
