Hawk HPS, Akebono Euro Ceramic and Hawk Performance Ceramic are your options (they all make the f/r pads for 07 X5 3.0si).

But slightly less initial bite compare to OEM pads (BMW OEM brakes are a lot more sensitive and more initial bites than other cars) but you'll get used to it. With extremely less amount dust and easy to clean dust (they're not like OEM since different compound), you'll not regret it.

Brembo or Bosch
You can brembo or Bosch rotors and pads on eBay for a reasonable cost.
I bought Brembo rotors and pads for the rear and they ran $225.00 total. Make sure you get the spring set. Beck and Arnley make a nice set for relatively cheap. |

Only needed front pads and got hawk hps. I'm cringing thinking what sort of rotor pad combo you got for 225 bucks. Maybe brumbo instead of brembo?
