Lease return with upgraded OEM wheels?

Hello,
My lease is coming to an end on my 2015 550 x-drive. The car came with 19" 351m wheels and Goodyear Eagle LS-2 RTF tires (square setup). I have about 300miles on them. Back in 2015 I purchased a set of F10 M5 20" wheels, staggered setup, and installed all season Conti DWS-06 on them. The M5 wheels are beat up, somewhat, and the tires are not really worth a lot. I was going to return the lease with these 20" and sell the factory 19s with RTF on my own. Just thought it would be easier to sell almost new take-off wheels and tires than beat up 20s... some people are pickier than others but for daily driver I did not care about scratches (no curb rash though).
Question is, can I return the car with OEM F10 M5 20" wheels even though the car came with different 19" OEM wheels?
Thanks

You technically can, but you’re gonna be paying a pretty penny

Yeah not gonna happen, no idea why you even bothered TBH, the whole point of a lease is not to incur costs like 20 inch wheels and tyres when you already have 19s.

You would need to return the car with the equipment it came with. Otherwise all you are “cheating” the system.

Put back the OEM back on car your . The 19" tires are new so no additional cost for tread depth they check and if they were RFT need to be RFT replacements also . So sell the 20ies but offset your loss with the cost of new rubber you don't have to buy. Sucks either way but cost of doing business.

There is a chance they might not notice the wheels themselves changed because they are also OEM wheels.

But I think they will notice that they are non-rft and damaged. So assuming they miss the fact that the wheels changed (best case), they are going to want to charge you for a new set of RFT and to fix the damage on the wheels.

Worse case, they notice they are not OEM wheels for the car and they charge you for wheels + tires, maybe even new tpms.

Sounds like you are better off putting the OEM 19s back on.

Dude, seriously... very nice response. I was not asking for the opinion why I got the wheels... mine was simple question about lease return.
But since u offered opinion on something completely unrelated, let me give u mine.
The whole point of leasing is to own a car that I would normally replace after 3 years or so and during these 3 years pay less for lease than the car would depreciate. BMW is one of these manufacturers. In addition, leasing allows me to write it off on my business.
Having 20" wheels that are staggered instead of factory 19" square setup help with aesthetics and handling.
