performance upgrades for 05 x5 4.8 is

Hi i recently purchaced a 05 X5 4.8is and just love it. I was looking to see what are the best performance upgrades i could do to it that wont break the bank.

Congrats...the E53 "iS" models are classic, imo. I suggest you do a search on this site and elsewhere, like Xoutpost...been discussed plenty. However, be advised that the E53 N62 won't yield much return on performance upgrades, short of supercharging anyway. With the naturally aspirated models you'll spend more for less return, performance-wise, as opposed the turbo models.

If the mod-bug-bite is consuming you, then i suggest Dinan.

Congrats! What color is it?! I use to have a LeMans blue 4.8is and I absolutely loved it! Do your research for performance upgrades and check out xoutpost.com They have a lot of guys on there into e53s.

My advice would also be to go with Dinan. There is not much you can do without breaking the bank but I can guarantee Dinan is top notch and reliable. I had the Dinan S1 package on mine, not sure if that is still available, the truck was a dream. They offered enginge software, throttle bodies, intake, exhaust. I go everything I was looking for at the time.
