Installed today
Just put mine in today. Didn't drive the car due to weather, but lets see how it goes. I removed the charcoal filters too, but may put them back in lol if the air quality in the cabin begins to suck.
There's a lot of smells on the NJ turnpike near the refineries and marshes that I can do without lol

I realize this

I'm all about over kill, and with a v8 twin turbo, I'm not too worried about the minimal restriction in air flow caused by the charcoal filters. I'll tell you, the inside of the plenum was squeaky clean, no dust particles or residue what so ever and I've got almost 50k miles on her!!! I wanna hopefully keep it that way lol

Just got my X5M last weekend, and I haven't had a time to pull the charcoal filters out. I don't know about this engine yet, but on my E64 M6 the charcoal filter delete was good for ~ 5 horsepower. It was the delta in output between US (500bhp) and the rest of the world (505bhp). While in there, good to replace the filter with a better aftermarket, too.
