Iphone4 not recognized?
Hey guys been searching on all forums for help on this issue and nothing seems to work. I have a 2011 x5 35i. I'm trying to connect my iPhone 4 through the USB port in the center console. I'm I've tried using the regular iPhone charger and the y cable ad neither works with the idrive system to have the phone recognized. Is it an issue with the apple software or bmw software. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced

Think you need to rule out a few things.
Try another iPhone 4 or 3GS/3/original from a friend/family member if you can. Try another iPod. ... On 2011 MY cars using the standard apple USB/iPhone cable should work fine. Does a USB thumb work ? |

As the post above says. You could also try connecting the phone to the car for music streaming ... Just to see if that works. Give you some thing at least in the short term. |
