I'm looking at using them on a second set of Msport 19s and they're the only all season/snow tires (aside from kumho) I can find in the stock sizes.
I don't know about these for the X5, but we had them on a Benz GL and they were a really good tire. We had 20" but not staggered. Worked well in snow too.

I ditched my conti rft's and put the conti DWS on. Snowed almost every day here since dec 1. 2" to 6" almost every day. Love these tires. They are great on wet roads , hard pack snow and moderate deep snow. I would highly recommend.
